John DeTemple, born in the summer of 1971 in Santa Monica, CA, was raised by the sea. His early encounter with the ocean profoundly shaped his unique perspective on life and art. At just three months old, he was briefly lost in the waves, only to be miraculously found five minutes later, floating amidst the currents.

 

DeTemple's artistic journey began at the University of Denver, where he excelled as both a hockey player and a student, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. His exceptional talent earned him the Outstanding Senior Scholarship from the university.

 

In 1994, DeTemple's career pivoted when he became the lead artist for the high-profile Prosecution vs. OJ Simpson case, creating over 100 illustrations and diagrams for the courtroom. This role set the stage for his future in the creative industry.

 

By 25, DeTemple was the Creative Director at the WB TV Network, instrumental in launching shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Wayans Brothers, and Kids WB! This era began his notable path in entertainment and media.

 

In 1999, DeTemple established d.inc design, now known as Dincaboutit, a distinguished production company specializing in cinematic and creative exploration. His expertise in digital media, animation, and film is instrumental to his collaborations in mainstream media.
