Biography

Born into a family of artisans, Costantino Gucci grew up surrounded by creativity, where craftsmanship was revered as a true form of art. This early exposure sparked his passion for visual art, design, and fine craftsmanship, honing his eye for beauty and detail. He graduated in Product Design from Central Saint Martins in 2018 and went on to work in London at Artefatto Design Studio—an experience that reshaped his approach to design. There, he experimented with new forms, materials, and textures, creating objects that merged aesthetic appeal with functionality. This journey led him to break away from conventional rules and develop innovative projects that redefine the perception of space and objects.

In 2021, he founded CELO1, his own studio, focusing on reflective materials such as glass and mirrors—core elements of his artistic research. Fascinated by reflection, Gucci sees it not merely as an outer image, but as a revealer of thought and inner contemplation, erasing the distance between perception and reality. His works and installations redefine the relationship between viewer, space, and matter, transforming perception into a dynamic experience, where shifting lights and reflections challenge the stability of the image. Through ongoing experimentation with light-sensitive inks, Costantino creates ever-changing surfaces: each piece becomes a living artwork, capable of establishing a sensory dialogue with the observer and turning reflection into an ever-evolving narrative.

Costantino Gucci’s art goes beyond aesthetics—it seeks to evoke deep emotion and stimulate reflection on universal themes such as beauty, the fragility of life, and humanity’s connection to nature. With a particular focus on sustainability and introspection, Gucci incorporates eco-conscious materials to raise awareness about the delicate balance of the natural world. His creations often invite self-reflection and encourage human connection, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation to breathe new life into ancient practices.
