    Zhengyao Zuo Art Talk

Join us for Form, Threads, and Emptiness—an immersive evening of philosophy, rare wine, and aesthetic play featuring internationally acclaimed artist Zhengyao Zuo, whose solo exhibition Veiled Resonance bridges porcelain, ink, and the spiritual traditions of Chan Buddhism.

Zuo’s work, profoundly influenced by the Diamond Sutra—a foundational Buddhist text on impermanence, non-self, and perception—invites us to reflect not only on what we see, but on how we see. In this rare artist talk, Zuo will speak on:

    • The veiled resonance between classical technique and contemporary form

    • His decade-long porcelain apprenticeship in Jingdezhen

    • His artistic legacy within the global Chinese art market

Before and after the talk, guests will enjoy a tasting of exquisite, rare wines within the VEFA Vault.

    Dress Code:

Come dressed in your personal interpretation of "What is Chinese art?" — whether through silhouette, texture, or metaphor. Upon arrival, guests will receive ceremonial beads to award to the best-dressed attendee. The winner will receive a curated surprise gift.

Space is limited. This is an evening not just of learning, but of living philosophy — where form is worn, meaning is shared, and emptiness is celebrated.

Guests are invited to arrive at 6:00 PM for a private viewing of Veiled Resonance.
The artist talk will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.

This in person event is $50/ticket. Tickets are available to purchase online and at the door.
